    Hey burton 2019

I gave us a good rundown on Olympic hockey a couple of months ago. Your passion for World Cup is similar to mine for Olympic hockey. It's your turn man. Give us a full rundown on what we are going to see in mere days as soccer takes the grand stage.

Bad break for the Ivory Coast in a warm up game yesterday. Drogba broke his arm it looks like. There goes my prediction of them making the round of 16.

Two of Africa's best players are out, and that really hurts the WC as a whole.

We dont get to see who I think is the world's best player playing in his home country in Drogba.

Michael Essien is also out for Ghana, meaning Cameroon is Africa's only real chance to make the knockout round with Eto'o

    Re: Hey burton 2019

France was terrible, I watched most of it.

Had two great scoring chances after 85 minutes, and bricked them both.

Although Thierry Henry should have been given a penalty kick after the handball in the box late, France has no excuse for losing to a bad China team.

It really hurts France' morale and momentuem going it to the WC in a week.

And I am offended ID, the World Cup is my thing homie. Me, burton, stripes, and yourself are the only true soccer fans on here.

Who is your pick to win it all?

Man it's hard to go against Brazil. Kaka is creative at midfield, and Fabiano is as good a striker as the field has.

    Re: Hey burton 2019

I have Brazil in the final losing to Spain.

With Fernando Torres playing as well as he is, and the overall talent La Furia Roja has, they are my pick.

The best teams are Spain, Brazil, Argentina (Messi FTW, 2nd best player in the world), Britian (ugh puke Fuk the UK), Italy, the Netherlands, and US baby!

Id like to see an African team do well, hopefully Cameroon or the Ivory Coast (sans Drogba, but they still have lots of talent) can make a deep run.

I like watching Cameroon play, Samuel Eto'o is one of the most exciting players in teh world with Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka, and Drogba.

I tried watching a few minutes of that game today and it was too rough to watch for it just to be a friendly. The question I have with Spain is how healthy Torres and Fabricio are. Didn't they both have knee injuries in recent months?

I messed up. Not Fabricio, but Fabregas. It appears as though he is healthy from his hamstring issue a couple of months ago.
